Could anyone tell me why I can't enable shadows? Apparently my system does not support them? ???

Most likely because your gpu does not support OpenGL 3.0 or higher. You may be able to fix this by installing new gpu drivers.

No, you see, your integrated gpu supports a certain version of OpenGL. Not all gpus support the highest OpenGL versions. This really depends on how new/good your gpu is.

Looks like you've got an ancient graphics card then. You can search for AMD E2-1800 APU drivers on AMD's homepage.

go to: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

scroll down to manually select driver

input these settings:


check your gpu settings what type of radeon HD you got, theres 6000, 7000 and 8000 and select the right one at step 3 then find your driver. I can't tell from your pc screenshot.


You can also try the following:

Uninstall the AMD Catalyst™ Driver using the Program and Features option in the Control Pane
Reboot the system
Use Windows Update to install the appropriate graphics driver for the APU.
