im kinda new to the game, having a hard time trading coz i don't know the shortcuts/abbreviations for most of the high-level items, fx. what is Nezzy? Bcp?
can't find a list anywhere, would be nice if someone could help me.
maybe they should even have a wiki page for it

Nezzy = helm on neitiznot

I believe there are too many abbreviations to make a list that contains all of them, but what you can do is ask the people ingame or write in the shoutbox and we'll help you

Maybe... the client could have some kind of 'auto correct' list for these words? It would be really hard to maintain that, but what would you guys think about the idea? The client would just turn 'vls' into vesta longsword for instance.

If it's hard to maintain, I don't think it's required. Perhaps just a list of abbrevations via command.

It could also be problematic with languages other than english. The abbrevations could match with words (or even other abbrevations) from different languages, which would make communicating confusing.

Would be great! ain't nobody got time to write a longass word like "bandos chestplate". "Bcp" is a lot quicker and easier. :kappa:

EDIT: But for serious tho, if its hard to mantain, don't waste your time on it. People can always ask for help and get to know the item full names.

Wouldn't work. There simply too many people who cannot type 'bcp' correctly, and they end up spamming that with autotalkers forever without ever fixing their typos. And if the maintaining is hard, I don't think it's required, like Magecrune said.

I don't think that would be a great idea at all, people speak way2many languages around in this game, for example ' Nfs ' stands for ' the same ' in my language, so people wouldn't like that idea of it changing to ' Not for sale ' when they wanna speak Arabic .

I'm pretty sure there will be a Runescape Item Abbreviation List somewhere, as well as a list of terms and expressions used in RS/RSPS'.

I'll find them and edit this post, unless someone else finds it first...
