Looking for the fastest way, I'm almost maxed so pretty much any method is available.

I personally killed a lot of kalphite workers inside the kalphite hive at Al-Kharid. They're right next to the entrance when you go in.
They drop uncut sapphire - diamond noted.

Camp obsidian dragons maybe. They drop 2 black and 2 red dragonhides every time, also some good alch stuff. Using rod there myself.

Gem Island: Family gloves+Double xp scrolls+Dragon pickaxe+Chisel. Cut the gems there and drop the runite ores.

What do you mean by timing or recording the drops? If you mean my kill log then here's a picture
I used dxp scrolls when cutting them as well and can't really remember if I did other methods so can't really say how accurate that is.

Fallen stars, Kalphite workers, Rock lobsters for frem items > exhange into caskets. those are the methods i used
