It doesn't hit 30 every hit, and it's a strong boss takes me 2 trips to kill 1.
Sometimes I can't even get 1/3rd of a damage in with one trip.

Get a magic protective armour and you're ok.

i dont see what all the trouble is about... I take dhide or karils bpdy and leg to counter wurms magi damage, then I go full damage and I usually end up soloing on first trip, second if unlucky.
(Keep in mind Wyrm hits higher amd more often if you're in melee armor).
