Why do you get ancient energy?

Why do you get ancient energy if you kill someone with vesta, zuriels, morrigan or statius? I feel like it should be lik you gey the items themselves and have an alternative for the energy? Might let em get droppdd by spectrals or new bosses?

if you have the money to fight against someone risking that stuff, you can just buy it or as you got it pking.

The items are untradable and degradable once used in combat once. You need the energy to recharge them if you wanna keep using them without dying.
If you would get it by killing a person then what's the use of them being untradable and degradable? They will be cheaper and used in pvm cause it's better than bandos/3rd age etc etc

Basically as an item sink so the stuff doesn't become dirt cheap.
More expensive price on the stuff, less people use it in pvm, which isn't what they're intended for.
