I've wondered which are the absolute best gears ingame. I mean like best for melee, range and mage.

Armadyl for range if you want maxhit. 3rd Range barely gives maxhit but gives accuracy + defense.

Ranged: As Mary said, depends on what you want, accuracy or maxhit.

If so, I'd only talk about meele because its the only thing I really know about;

Amulet - Strength Amulet (T).
Ring - Ring of Stone.
Gloves - Barrow Gloves.
Boots - Bandos/Dragon.

about weapons, it depends what do you want (accuracy or maxhit), for accuracy I'd go with whips, maxhits - z spear.

This is true.

The only great melee weapon I would suggest at this moment in time is the Z Spear; which is probably the best weapon in-game.

Yeah but are there any alternatives to whip for one handed weapons? I can't think of anything other than maybe dds because of the spec damage.

Dragon Scimitars and Dragon Longswords are pretty accurate. I'd suggest a Dragon Scimitar as a cheaper alternative to a Whip but other than those there is nothing really.
