do people tend to stake out there and pk players

They're not especially difficult and I suppose using three items is possible.
Pro-tip: use the protect item pray and you'll have 4 protected items. :)
 
Pk-ers tend to drop by sometimes for easy kills, but it doesn't happen that frequently

It isn't really worth it to 3-item them, they already hit a lot on decent full gear so it would be a waste of food since you can kill 1-2 per trip with 3 items only.
^assuming you're going to kill knights/dark beasts/dragons

Went there like 8 times or so and no pker (well usually went on when there's like 5 players on World 2 LOL).
But like I'd say this for myself only, "Its not WORTH THE TIME." ;)

they are super easy if you have decent gear, just watch out for pkers. Just bring prayer pots, some food, and kill em dead.
Tip: Kill dark beasts, they are the best, and easiest to kill.

I heard that the salve amulet works on revenants, that will make them super easy
