Rare Whips - Abby Whips

This may have never even been the case however, why don't Rare Whips give more bonuses than Abby Whips?

I understand the colour change for the donation you pay but surely there should be added bonuses for them being Rare Whips?

In about 2010 the strength bonus was lowered to match the abyssal whip they used to be around +92 strength, but they're only used as "cosmetic" whips now.
