People play RSPS to get the old feel of runescape back mainly - OSRS has near enough killed off rsps imo.

Why do you care if they are making money? Its a beneficial service for both servers and the company that runs the toplist. There are no negatives to allowing voting, unless you are paying for space on the toplist.

Except it was not beneficial to us as we barely got any traffic.

I think a lot of oldschool players who were sad that Emps got shut down in the first place would come back if they knew about it. It takes time, though. New players will come and they'll want an almost flawless RSPS to play.
