Magic and ranging range
« on: January 04, 2015, 06:04:43 pm »
Is it meant to be that the magic range is much worse than ranging range?

When soldiers have nowhere to run to - if their bridges have been burned - they fight much harder than they otherwise would have. When you find something that you care about enough, be prepared to burn your bridges.-Chait

From what I understood was..A mager who is also ranging or a Ranger..

Umm, well if that's what you're asking then it's not really much of a difference unless you're in melee gear..If you're a ranger and a guy with magic + range there isn't much of a difference cause you'd be supposedly wearing d hide which can block most magic attacks, as a meleer you'd get shredded though.

Yes, the combat triangle is the model of this. A picture depicted this in the background of the main page, when it was called 'Emps-Scape'. Does anyone else remember this? :D

It comes down to this:
Melee<Range
Range<Magic
Magic<Melee

It's also certain armour types that effects this like I Pk Ur Nan said

Ranging does have longer range in some cases. Put a Composite Magic Bow onto longrange, and you can outrange every spell in all the spellbooks.
