which gear is the best for high lvl monsters?
is veracs still worth to use it...?

I'd recommend using bandos or ranging as 3rd range. And verac's got nerfed >_>

If you're going with melee then bandos would probably be the best choice. Bandos, str t, steadfasts, nezzy, ss/whip+defender/hasta+defender, ring of stone, b gloves, fire cape/skill cape/max cape. Statius and vesta have more str bonus but it's not worth using that because they degrade over time.
