i know a method that may help a little bit until this bug gets patched.
firstly, you can understand that the drop is valuable if it's invisible. now how to pick it up, just drop anything under it and you will be able to see the drop that you got along with the thing you dropped, now the item you got will appear invisible in your inventory as well, for that you need to restart your client.
i hope i helped to anyone in some way at least until this big gets fixed.

This bug happened to my friend at Kalphite queen yesterday, he didn't know what to do.
We'll use this method when we get the chance, thank you!

The bug shouldn't occur anymore, I've patched it today. Make sure that you're on the latest client version by restarting it! :) It may take some time until the items appear though, in my tests it has taken up to 5 seconds until the item models were downloaded.
