DDS and POISON

I was doing a DDS stake and my poison hit after my first spec (6), but the opponents didn't hit at all during the stake (and i'm sure they did have a dds). How come he didn't poison me at all? What requires poison to hit, I felt bad for the guy as the only reason i won was because of the poison, if his hit we would have tied. Juts curious...

Theres a 33% chance on each successful damaging hitround (so per round and not for example when you do two hits with a spec) to poison the target unless it has poison protection.

Well officially the server selects randomly a number out of 0 1 and 2, and if it equals 0 the target will be poisoned ;)
'Random' is never truly random, there's always a rate of occurance if you have infinite samples
