When you're staking, you should know that the player could use any 1-handed weapon..
You're staking at your own risk.

It's not like you're signing a contract on what weapons to use in a stake, just get yourself a d hasta if possible, or just don't stake if it's a problem when your opponent uses a d hasta.

Well this is sort of scamming. If you both agreed to use "special rules" and if he confirms, you should be able to report him with video evidence.

This is like the zamorak spear/addy hasta scam. You agreed to trade for zammy spear but get a addy hasta.
These ppl got their punishment.

And therefore I consider this the same thing. Anyone attempting to scam should be punished.

The people above me are just mad.

There is no rule that says ''Use whip only''.

You are free to breach any 'promise' you made to a player without consequences regarding staff punishments.

Of course you will not be held accounted for any insults or words of trust if you break a promise you made though, just like you would elsewise. We don't interfere in any duel arena issues that might be related to this.

I do think staking is under the general pvp rules.
Meaning ANYTHING is at your own risk.
Agreeing to using 1 handed weapons means ANY 1 handed weapons.

Lol up to the player. Half or should I say 3/4 of the players in Duel Arena has Dragon Hasta. I went there yesterday and half of my opponents uses Dragon Hasta and I win half of it sometimes and lose the other half.
Its all up to luck and those lucky hits -.- bruh.... nothing else.. Idk about switching from Accuracy to Def when they attack you would work, I doubt it. But a lot of players uses this method and some work and some don't Whenever I stake I just AFK LOL!....  ::)

Pulling out a d hasta isn't scamming especially since both an abby whip and hasta have the same stats, the actual likely hood that you hit a 25 is rare... If you don't want to lose then don't stake..

This is like the GBS rule we used to have many many years ago on Emps. People would put their trust in others during PK and have a fun ""Give Back Stuff" fight and not get their items back. People would claim this as scamming.
We terminated it, anyway.

It's not like you're signing a contract on what weapons to use in a stake, just get yourself a d hasta if possible, or just don't stake if it's a problem when your opponent uses a d hasta.
This.

dude, only one str bonus, and i even think the ones that are using whip have an advantage because all players are used to it and know how to fight with whip. if you don't believe me then just do box stakes - problem solved.

It doesn't have an extra melee strength bonus. Just a +1 max hit when using the strength style.
