what's wrong with going to gwd with friends? isn't a boss supposed to be hard?
Nobody plays this game, that's the problem.

Doesn't change much during peak times. Most people (the whole 5 people) that might login at evening are either ironmen or people bank standing. Just Humen is probably the only friend I've seen outside of GE in the last 2 months or so who isn't an ironman.
There's also a difference between challenge and ''challenge''. In osrs you can protect yourself from every attack of the minions by prayer flicking and from over half of the attacks from the boss since Bandos hits with melee most of the time in that game. His range maxhit is also only 35 in osrs instead of 45. The most skilled players can kill 50-60 bosses per trip solo (I think the record at sara is like 68?).
In Emps Graardor has higher defence, higher maxhits and he even hits through freaking prayer. Sure you can keep flicking off the damage from the minions but that won't change the fact that the boss will keep hitting you 40+'s with one combat style and 10's with the one you don't protect from. Getting raped by the boss hitting that high makes you eat a ton of food and hurt the damage you deal, ultimately resulting into 1 kill per trip, 2 if you're extremely lucky. AND THAT'S EASY COMPARED TO WHAT ZAMMY IS.
The challenge in osrs can be overcome with skill, in emps you just stand there tanking all the damage and sacrificing arabs to the rng gods hoping that you hit something more than a 0. People don't expect bs like that from a private server.
