Who let this happen, literally if you're wearing crystal shield you can tank everything in pvp situation.

By sacrificing all offensive bonuses. Is +105 too strong? Your enemy should hit less on you with the crystal shield.

Imo you don't really need the offensive bonus you get from shields anyways, imo it's waaaaaay too strong

Tfw kolodion max hit is like 3 and you protect from kolodion because nobody can even come close to hitting you.

Im literally fighting a guy in 300k gear having basically max mage and hes just smiting me because I can't hit him once with mage in 30 tries.
How does it makes sense that 100k shield is 2-3x stronger than dfs or any spirit shield, and dfs is already so damn strong.

The shield does feel a little strong /out of place.  Especially considering the drop rate (rare- 1.5%), the monster that drops it, and the number of charges.

DFS is +11 Melee / ~50 for defense
D Defender is +20 Melee / 0 def
Crystal is 105+ def.

Im not sure the stat is the issue as all the shields have a similar balance between offense and defensive stats.

I think that a reduction is charges and possibly an increase to the recharge cost might help the balance issue.
5k charges = 225k gp  (according to wiki).

Maybe increase requirement to 80 and make recharge cost 2M like Rod is. Third-age shield also needs rebalancing since it's pretty much crap now.

The same way Ice shield was all this time better than Elysian though some people still pays 20M difference to have the looks over the stats to go to kill people in Pk or monsters in Pvm :4head:
