Since the activity in the guides section has gone down over the years I thought I'd try and get some people to write a guide or two again by giving out some money for it. Because let's face it we're all greedy as hell. I am gonna review each guide that is entered into the contest and each will be given a score. Obviously the better you score the more you'll win.

Scores:
Your guides can score points on the following things:

• Originality: 0 - 15 points
  Has this guide been done before? Does it tell people new things?
• Content: 0 - 25 points
  Does your guide have a sufficient amount of content? Is it missing anything?
• Credibility: 0 - 20 points
  Is everything in your guide up to date? Did you give credit where credit is due?
• Looks: 0 - 25 points
  Does your guide look well organized? Do you make good use of images?
• Language: 0 - 15 points
  Is your guide well written?
• Bonus: 0 - 5
  If these points are awarded what for will be mentioned on the guide.

Rules:
Obviously there are rules.

• Copy-pasting will not be allowed.
  The exception to this is raw data, such as exp rates and locations. Images from other guides may be used but will be given less points if uncredited.
• All guides have to be created after this topic was made.
  I made this so that new guides would be created, since the section is inactive.
• All Emps world rules apply to the competition.
  Of bloody course they do
• Only one entry per player
  So that we don't have one person winning everything.

You may be disqualified if you break them.

Prizes:
Everyone participating in the contest will recieve 10 event points.

• First place: 100m
• Second place: 60m
• Third place: 40m

Any guides with a score above 75 will recieve 10m cash if they are below third place.

Please note that the final score will be given after the deadline. So you can fix up any mistakes you make writing your guide.

Deadline:
The deadline was set febuary 1st 2017, two years after I joined emps world. Then it moved up to the 8th because of the low amount of participants.



Questions
Am gonna try and predict some questions, will add some actual questions asked about the event when they're asked.

• What do I write my guide about?
  Anything you can think of is the short answer. Skills, killing certain monsters, doing certain things, getting to certain locations, moneymaking, you name it. I can give you a specific one if you ask for it but I'd prefer if you made up your own subject and tell us why you chose it in the guide. I find it nice to see guides on questions people commonly ask.
• Won't juding these guides be biased because it's just you?
  Probably, not that I think that's important.
• You're actually giving things away? Are you really drunk or have you lost your sanity?
  Yes.
• Can you give me feedback on my guide before the deadline?
  Yes, it won't be all that elaborate though.
• Are you gonna do these more often?
  More than likely, no. I don't like giving away money. Maybe if someone provides me with prize money.
• What about video guides?
  Guides that are just a video will score very low. It's a guide writing contest. On the contrary if you support a written guide with a video example (such as in Loosenater's jad guide) that will get you points.
• Is there a required amount of words?
  No, your guide doesn't need to be a certain length. As long as it has all the information necessary it'll score the same as a longer guide would.

Don't get me wrong, however if you really want to help the community out and give them some rewards for doing such things, at least make it worth the time they will be spending doing it.

looking at the points you wrote above, you should be a great writer to win that 50mil prize ( which is still a low amount of money for the few hours you'll spending writing and correcting your self over and over again ) that only applies if more than 3 people wrote guides, I doubt any tho

No, I'll be telling people ingame about this as well. And not everyone on the forums has your pattern of activity.

That 50m prize goes to the best score. This doesn't necessarily have to be a high score, as long as it's the highest score. I added a bonus 5m to anyone that reaches a good score, I could make this higher but that will depend on the amount of people that go and write a guide.

At least it's something. If you feel it's too little you can do something about it by giving me money.
