Yk'Lagor is one of the demon bosses in Emps-World. It can be found deep inside the Ice cave. The layer where he resides can be entered by passing the energy barrier left of the Glacors. The Ice cave can be entered by climbing down the ladder at Mudskipper point, which is located south-west of Rimmington.

Mechanics

Yk'Lagor has a couple mechanics he will use throughout the fight and is aided by 2 types of minions: Necroarcher, who uses multi range attacks that can hit up to 15, and Necrolord, who uses magic attacks. These attacks include a regular attack that only deal magic damage, a binding spell that freeze the target for 8 seconds, and the 'Vengeance other' spell, which Necrolord will use on Yk'Lagor. As the fight progresses, Yk'Lagor will spawn more minions. It is advised to kill them asap.

Yk'Lagor himself uses mainly multi-target magic attacks. When a player finds himself in close proximity of the boss, Yk'Lagor often uses a single-target melee attack. It is advised to fight Yk'Lagor using magic or range weapons. Every fourth attack is a special attack, which varies depending on the hitpoints level of Yk'Lagor.

Phase 1 (HP 2600-2400)

Yk'Lagor does not use a special attack yet, neither does it spawn minions yet.

Phase 2 (HP 2400-2000)

Yk'Lagor spawns 1 Necroarcher and uses the special attack Feel the lightning. A bolt of lightning is thrown at the player, and when not dodged, it deals significant magic damage and stuns the player for 3 seconds in place.

Phase 3 (HP 2000-1600)

Yk'Lagor spawns 1 Necroarcher and uses the special attack Lethal Thunder. A couple of concentric circles appear underneath the player, sending out a bright purple light after a couple of seconds. It can deal up to 102 magic damage (even through prayer) if it is not dodged by the player.

Phase 4 (HP 1600-1200)

Yk'Lagor spawns 1 Necrolord and uses the special attack Thunderclouds (1). When screaming Thunderclouds, Yk'Lagor summons a 5x5 tiles square of thunderclouds around him. These clouds rapidly deal magic damage (between 3-15 damage per hit) when a player finds himself standing in the clouds.

Phase 5 (HP 1200-800)

Yk'Lagor spawns 1 Necrolord and uses the special attack Thunderclouds (2). Yk'Lagor picks out a random player to jump on, dealing melee damage on the landing if the player does not dodge him. Simultaneously with Yk'Lagor's landing, 5x5 tiles crosses of thunderclouds will appear in other players' locations, dealing melee damage if not dodged.

Phase 6 (HP 800-400)

Yk'Lagor spawns 2 Necroarchers and uses the special attack Thunderclouds (3). This is attack is a combination of the previous two phases. When screaming Thunderclouds, Yk'Lagor summons a 5x5 tiles square of thunderclouds around him, and 5x5 tiles crosses of thunderclouds in the players' locations. Both rapidly deal magic damage if not dodged.

Phase 7 (HP 400-0)

Yk'Lagor spawns 2 Necrolords and instead of using a special attack only every fourth attack, he will now use a special attack every attack. However these special attacks follow a specific sequence, allowing the player to anticipate. The sequence is as follows: Lethal Thunder -> Feel the lightning -> Thunderclouds (2) -> Thunderclouds (3)

Trivia

As of September 16th 2021, solo killing Yk'Lagor (and other group bosses and hardmode bosses as well) is now rewarded with 2 drops.
