The Staff of light has a special attack that reduces the damage you take by 20% for 1 minute at the cost of 100% special energy. You are, however, unable to maintain the special attack's effects when entering a duel in the Duel arena.
Although it does not conserve a specific kind of rune like most staves, it has a chance of 35% to preserve runes on cast. This Staff of light can also be recolored at Bolkoy for 60 event points.
