The Ice shield can only be obtained as a drop from Ice demons. It requires 80 Magic and 80 Defence to equip. As a special effect it decreases bind effects of magic spells cast on you by 5 seconds. The Ice shield is thus a direct counter to the Ice crown and does not decrease freeze time from non-magical sources.
