The Ice crystal upgrades the Abyssal whips, staves, bows and their dyed variants, the Elemental bow and the Elemental staff to their ice elemental versions, consuming the crystal in the progress.
The upgrade is not reversable and makes the weapon more powerful but degradable. After 40,000 attacks in combat, the crystal is destroyed and only the original weapon remains. The Ice crystal freezes your enemy for 20 seconds. It's basically like an ice barrage spell in your weapon. The freeze is applied on hit and not on cast time.
