Longbows require a Range level 1 to wield. You can obtain Oak longbows with the Fletching skill, this requires Normal logs and Bowstrings. You can also buy them from Lowe in Varrock for 104 coins.
Making an longbow requires a Fletching level of 5, and will grant you 269 Fletching experience in total. You can use up to Iron arrows with the Longbow.
