The Kalphite hive entrance is located south of the Al-Kharid palace and north of Shantay pass, in Al-Kharid. Good food, maybe prayer potions and decent gear are advised if you are to visit the Kalphite Queen. You do not need to use rope on the entrance in order to climb down anymore.
