Pernix armor (ghost) can be obtained by using a Ghost dye on a Pernix armour.When The armor is dyed, The parts are not tradable and cannot be dropped.The dye can be removed by left clicking and selecting the clean option on the dyed part but that will make you lose the dye,The dye doesn't add any additional stats for the armor its just made for decoration and appearance.
