Upgraded abyssal staves can be obtained by using a crystal on an abyssal staff. Upgraded abyssal staves have better attack bonusses than abyssal staves, but are degradable (40,000 charges). At 0 charges, the crystal is destroyed and an abyssal staff remains. Upgraded abyssal staves cannot be disassembled, are untradeable and are destroyed when dropping.
