And why exactly does one need xp drops?

to calculate deadly combos, and I know in OSRS xp drops appear before the damage, so it might be the same here.

I don't see a reason why it should be added,  I don't agree.

Wow I never thought of that! Thank you so much!

No seriously the xp drops appear too late for you to be able to know your next hit and act accordingly. When you see the xp drop you have no time to react.

Oh and I have nothing against this suggestion btw so by all means change it. I just wanted to clarify that, in my opinion, xp drops aren't of any use.

Lars is right. The time isn't long enough to plan your next attacks.
However, if you're bossing with other people and you have 200m in that certain combat style, you just don't know which hits are yours. This only happens if the timing is the same, which happens very frequently.
Adding xp drops for people with 200m in combat skills would give them ability to calculate their hits, so they wouldn't by in the dark. Technically you don't even have to calculate, xp drop just gives you an idea when compared to other hits).

Not even sure if it would be possible to do that because XP is capped at 200m. Unless you'd remove that cap and XP would then cap at (2^31-1)/10 XP and then we would have the same problem again.

Nope, I just tested it in game, XP drops appear slighty before the damage does. You can test it yourself.

Whether they appear on the same time or not, they are a huge help, at least to me.
Agreed, would love to see it included
