Hello,

I'm here to suggest a rework of some sort when it comes to the drop rate of the keys needed to create the steel key ring. For the last few days I've been trying to get these keys and here's what I've found.

Dark beast: took 30 mins to get one key
Gorak: took 30 mins to get one key
Skeleton Hero: took 3 hours and 30 mins to get one key
Skeleton Thug: took 1 hour to get one key
Nechryael: Spent 7 hours, 0 key drops (I have the 10m strength xp, rune ore, and herbs to prove it)

I'm wondering if there is a way to make this more balanced? I literally killed over 2000 nechryaels last night without a single key drop (which doesn't seem right). I would say either increase the drop rate of these keys or make it so you can aquire them another way? Possibly an exchange where you can trade chest keys for these keys?

In my opinion the keys drop rates are fine, its just about your luck.

Was this recently? I've had them as a task a few times prior to yesterday and haven't gotten the drop.

Yep. It's all about your luck, i spent over 3 hours getting my first nechryael key, then i went on a slayer task and got one in my second kill.
I think the drop rates are fine as they are right now.

Mate, its all about luck It took me probably about 3 - 4 hours to get one as well. But 7+ hours.... that's unlucky that's all. Btw about the herbs, are you willing to sell hehehehe also the Runite Ores. Just gimme your price if you're willing to sell. Sorry for being off-topic Mate ^^

I'm suprised that there's still someone that doesn't know how RNG loot works, it really isn't the droprate that matters.
It's all luck, you could go dry of dscim drops for hundreds of nechrael kills too.

I am aware how this works, however this one drop in particular seems to have a lot lower rate. I understand that it's all luck, but the fact that it's possible for a player to go 2000 kills back to back to back, nonstop, tells me that the drop rate is too low.

On another note, i'll continue the Nechryael slaughter until i get one.

It's just like when I killed bronze iron and steel dragons for dragon hasta. But these keys are supposed to be crazy hard to get, because of the insane loot you can get from them (Rod Of Ivandis).

Well, I killed like 150 bronze dragons and got 2 hastas. Drop rate is 1/1000. Because maby someone killed like 1000+ or so and didnt get any, so I went there and I were lucky.

O-T: Think about good way, harder to get keys, harder to get rod. Some items must stay rare. It would be booring if there are like too many rods ingame.

Another reply, If getting the keys is easy, then getting rod will be easy (if you're lucky). Again, drop rate seems fine to me. As I stated in game (to you), it took me about 2 weeks or maybe a week and a half to get all the keys! I got them by doing Slayer task as well! Got 2 from Dark Beast, 2 from Nech (Got a lot of slayer task from them), and another one from (I forgot). Right now I got a steel ring key and 3 extra key! But yeah, try your luck again

10 hours now, still no keys. Starting to lose interest in even trying. 

Finally, after 12 hours of killing, i got the cross key. I don't know why my luck was so bad... 

As far as I know all key drop %'s are the same.

I think the way it is is fine right now, obtaining the steel key ring shouldn't be easy it should require hard work so that the boss is also worth doing.

The drop rates are fine, these keys are supposed te be rare. Disagreed.
