It's protection value should be changed, now that it isn't a free minigame item, and is a rare drop.

This would ruin unskulled saradomin sword pking

I disagree, many PKers would dislike this suggestion because saradomin sword is a risky item that the most of PKers prefer to use.

In some ways, I agree due to the amount it's worth. However, in some ways, I disagree due to the pking aspect.

I think SAra sword was always a risky item to take into pvp.

You lose ss over almost everything already. Changing it's price to the same as a whip would still make it a risked item if you are skulled or not. (Main pkers have bandos, zs, or ags, neitz, dboots,stone,str ammy,team or fcape, mantas, runes, pots)
You would probably only keep it if you were unskulled and had protect item prayer on.

I don't normally support such suggestions, but I support this one (to a certain degree).
The value should be increased, but it shouldn't be increased by a lot. At the moment, I believe that you keep mantas over your Saradomin Sword; this is a bit over the top. If we were to set the value above any food/pots/supplies, but still below basic armour, I would be pleased. The value that I have in mind is ~30k.
