I agree.
From my experiences (and the reported experiences of players), the drop rates do need a bit of tampering with; there are too many items for the economy to handle -- there's not enough money to justify items having proper value. The drop rates have felt very high, but that might just be due to the update that made NPCs weaker. (Faster kills mean faster drops, which ultimately makes the drops too easy to get.) I understand that flooding the game with the good items for the first week helps everyone get his/her hands on good armour or weapons; however, there's plenty to go around now, so the drop rates should be decreased, or the NPCs should be made more difficult, in my opinion.
The economy needs to be stabilized; as it stands, everything continues to drop in value. Players will start quitting if things in this department don't change; I've already had to convince a few players not to leave over this, telling them that it's going to most likely be altered with later updates in order to stabilize everything.
