For those who don't know what this concept is,

Hardcore ironmen are almost the same compared to a regular ironmen, only difference is that if you die on a hardcore one you'll either lose the account completely or lose the rank and be turned into a regular ironmanaccount (depends on how it gets implemented).

Reply with your thoughts on it.

HCIM is already on Trello. I don't know if or when it comes, but it is in the backlog.

/:: OT; HCIM won't be a thing for me, but I can see why people do. New challenges, and new ways to prove yourself.

Why is it good:
- It's a fresh start
- Wilderness might become an interesting place (revenants, chaos elemental, kolodion)
- Some people would find it interesting but there's also the other party who dislikes HCIM a lot.
- New competitive thing with seperate hiscores

Why is it bad:
- People don't like dying and it's demotivating
- "Imho you would need more regular players to keep hcim mode alive" (Quote from a player)
- "Waiting for your internet to fail on you - man mode"
- Complaining that someone died in unfair way. This would probably be annoying for staff/Thomy. Even if you die in the most unfair way you should not get hcim status back so there's a clear simple policy.

Ideas for it:
- Seperate hiscores
- Guardian Angel is disabled (can't trade, can't use, don't get one from tutorial island etc...) Ruins the purpose of this mode
- 1 life (If you die you turn to regular ironman. This might devalue regular ironman mode as in "why make regular ironman account anymore when you can just make hcim and you turn to regular ironman eventually"?)
- "Hardcore ironman firsts" Who gets what first etc... First to get 99 in a skill etc... Include "good" items as well if possible?

Seasonal HCIM:
- Lasts X weeks/months
- Rewards for top players
- 3 lives (You can unlock 2 extra at total level miletones, 1000 and 1500 for example
- Ga is disabled completely
- If you die and all extra lifes are used you can NEVER log in to that account anymore and you keep your spot in seasonal hiscore
- Reason of death could be broadcasted? Global shaming in a fun way. Would need a total level cap so it can't be spammed.
