Yes it's a cosmetic item.
It's just stupid you can trade the ornament kit, but you can't trade the fury...
Also Arc said they introduced this to the game to add some kind of rares, but what is the point of having rares if you can't trade them?

I don't know if that was the specific reason, but if it was the system right now makes no sense lol. Is this true with all items you use ornament kit on?

It's only cosmetic and you get ornament kits as a very rare reward from caskets found when fishing/killing rock crabs. By using a ornament kit on a Dragon item or a fury ornament kit on a fury you will "trim" it.
