Auto-Lock Topics;
« on: April 19, 2015, 05:48:40 am »
I discussed this earlier with Big_Chris and we both think it is a great idea to issue automated locks on topics that haven't been replied on for a maximum of 10 days.

I received a massive 40% infraction and forum moderation because these topics were apparently 'outdated'.

An automatic lock on a topic would prevent these infractions, therefore save staff the work of handing out massive infractions to innocent forum users, such as myself. :kappa:

This automatic lock system would not apply to miscellaneous sections of the forum.

Things like progress topics which last more than weeks would be destroyed by this.
Other than that, I don't really see any other negative.

Disagree though.

Unfortunately, I disagree because I don't see anyone else on forums digging old topics to reach higher postcount except you. :kappa:

I may not be the best, but I'm definitely not like the rest.

Staff is lacking common sense. As long as you are contributing to the discussion, I personally don't think that ''digging'' threads should be prohibited. There are two options if you want to discuss something: either dig up an old topic or create a completely new one. The outcome of both is exactly the same.

I am neutral on this. On one side, is good to lock topics to prevent further digging. On the other side, when someone who started a topic like clan, and left the game very long, then suddenly they try to find their old topic and wanted to announce they are back, but just to find them lock. Idk if it can affect other section as well.

But, only the staff team can unlock a topic?

There could be exceptions, just like the miscellaneous sections of the forum.

You spam without reading replys in the topic or thinking about what it is about.
I have seen your random posts loads of times Josh :D

Start using all the time you spend on this forums on your girlfriend.

I spend enough time with her, hence I quit this game; lol.

I personally think that the forum should have a automatic system if you type [LOCK] it will automatically lock your topic.
I like your idea too.
