The point is for you guys to try new things and test your skills.  Photo-manipulation is a great way to showcase your creativity and interpretation of the provided art.

At least give it a shot -- you don't have to post your attempt if you don't want to.

@Gergely, I know that he didn't, and although it was intended that every participant had to, I personally made an error: "We will provide three images that you may choose from to use for your entry for this week."  I didn't specify that you had to use one of the provided images, even though it is what I intended.  Also, sorry for not counting your entry, but it's already so far past the time limit as is :(.  I really like the idea behind yours, though :).  Next week's competition will be posted shortly.

No, but seriously, his entry caught us off guard, and we didn't have time to discuss his score thoroughly.  I don't think 485 is an incorrect score for his entry; it translates to a base score of 270.  His entry is a good photomanipulation, and it deserves the score that it was given.


I should note that the confusion of this week is my fault entirely, not the other judges', as I've been juggling a lot of things IRL.
