It doesn't show the whole number.

You only get 170 xp for smithing 3 mithril bars ;)

You get 55 xp for each mithril bar.

You get over 1k xp per plate, but it shows 170.

I tried it, it shows 1700 smithing xp normally. Are you using the classic client or the fixed screen?

euhm I belive I was using fixed screen
