Post by: Purple Phat on December 05, 2015, 05:30:19 pm
Wild chasing
So when pvping the movement is bit awkward, i dont know how to explain it alot but Thomy u should try it out while mage pking its really weird the mechanics is all messed up.

Freezing spells
When Entangling or barraging it does the emote but doesnt add the effect to the enemy its like 50% of the times it doesnt work, please fix :)

Can you show me a video where mage pking is weird and messed up?

There isn't a 100% chance that you freeze your enemy. It can be splashed and there's a freezing immunity timer after a freeze runs out.

we havent tested the it with range but i belive its the same and also with melee. i will test it later today with my friend if u can abuse the landscape itself to get away with melee & range

Thanks a lot. It would be very valuable for me to know if the same issue exists with range and melee too.

I can already tell you, that escaping via the environment will most likely always be possible. Calculating the perfect path from A to B for all players in combat is too expensive to be done in real-time. At least with the system that currently exists.

btw also buff magic spells like 5% since they splash just too much compared to rs07 and rs3

The splashing effect has no influence on the damage output. Also, please use the suggestions section for that.

Have you witnessed the same behavior with range?

Alright, it's an issue with the pathing algorithm then. I can't provide a fix soon, but it will be looked at in the future.
