So I bought vesta chain and some random guy attacked me. After he 1 hit me there was only 870 charges left.

Probably a remnant from the last time you've worn a vesta chain. If you die with the chain body it will reset the stacks. Let me know when you've done so, I'll add another chain to your account then.
