If you attack the "Thomy" NPC from across the water with ranged while protecting from magic, he will just stand there and take the hits and not switch to ranged.

While he is on magic form Thomy npc will still kill you from across the stream.

Doesnt really matter he doesnt drop anything anyway

Supposed to be an event npc. Killing it is not rewarding. ;) Though, real fighters don't safe spot him!
