Title: Slow motion by rotating camera.
Post by: 0wned Man on November 29, 2014, 07:11:29 am
Is it bug or not, but I can't play. My character have slow motion effect by rotating camera or running to anywhere... Just... impossible to play. Also I wasted 3 member days thanks for slow motion... Also I have a challenge in "goal/achievement" section. So I have now 11 member days left and I don't want to waste it... Please fix this fast, or I just quit... Nothing to do. =(

Can you tell me your fps rate? Type ::fpson. Make sure that your FOV setting is completely to the left, that should make it much better!

Well fps is 23-25 if Im alone or 1-10 players. Fps 8-12 in Falador.
FOV is always left and I use fixed screen mode.

That's very weird, your camera should be acting fine then. Mind restarting your client? I've updated the camera code a little.

EDIT: 8-12 fps in falador are really bad. What are your graphic settings? Can you try disabling everything, that should provide a better fps rate. Maybe also consider using the classic client mode because I think that might run smoother on your computer.

Do you have a very old laptop? Can you get me its specs?
I'll try to get a lightweight client running by this/next week.

You could try out the classic client. I've updated something that could bring more fps. Otherwise, I can't do much for you, these are just the limits at present. I'm sorry, there probably won't be more fps for your laptop.

Try updating your graphic drivers. That could help.

I update graphic drivers but still slow motion... Maybe if you can add some gameframe options to the server?
Maybe those will help.
EDIT: Maybe "OpenGl" doesnt work very well on my laptop.

Are you running the fixed-screen client in openGL mode? That shouldn't be too slow!

Yes I use fixed screen in opengGL client, but still I have a slow motion for no reason. Even "SoulSplit" server works better than emps-world for some reason. Theres no lagg like here.

Edit: Very nice, 8-12 fps with fixed screen. Theres nothing to do, gonna quit.

Okay. Locking this topic then since it's a hardware related issue.
