hey Thomy i'm making another topic about this seeing i can't reply on my locked one, you updated it so it gets defense xp but now you don't get any range xp from using longrange and you are ment to, here is my locked bug report http://emps-world.net/forum/index.php?topic=6139.0;topicseen

As far as I know a defensive option is supposed to give Defence xp only?

Nope, only with melee.
With ranged it gives half ranged and half defence xp (40xp range, 40xp defence per hit). Same goes for magic.
