You can write empty lines by typing spaces, or for clanchats, just a backslash.

Well, what's the point of having this feature? Chatting programs/websites such as skype and facebook won't let you type nothing either.

It's not a feature, its a feature for these chat programs to prevent this, but i don't see how this feature makes any sense
