Title: Activating Multi-Model Buffering
Post by: Hi Im Ethan on January 25, 2016, 03:53:31 pm

Occasionally, when I go to turn on Multi-Model Buffering, I get stuck with my game loading like this.
This often has mixed results, the most common being that everything becomes unclickable (and thus causing me to have to manually close the Client). Restarting the Client and attempting it again usually results in the same thing, but after awhile the MMB finally loads properly.
Recently, I attempted again and found the same thing occuring, but I could still click on the window, prompting me to deactivate MMB which returned everything to normal. Attempting it again yielded the same results until, like before, the MMB finally loaded properly.

Do you have a way of reliably reproducing the problem? Or does it occur randomly? Can you let me know if it happens again after restarting your client? I've updated quite a lot there over the past few days.

For me at least, this happens pretty often. I can replicate this almost every time I start and restart my Client.
What I plan on doing later today is redownloading the Client, and if the bug is still occurring, I'll update this again.

Thanks. You don't need to manually update your client, a restart will do fine, because that triggers the updater.

Yeah, wouldn't hurt to try I guess. :P
I did open my client and was still able to replicate the issue, though this time MMB was successfully loading more often. It does seem to be somewhat random, but I think it's properly working now. I was able to replicate the issue, but disabling MMB then enabling it right afterwards fixed it immeadiately. I think it's good for now.

It really shouldn't happen at all. Anyway, since I'm not able to reproduce it and it happens frequently for you, mind testing it every few days? I've updated the client right now, so let me know if you still have the problem. Thanks in advance.

Can do, not a problem.

Okay great, thank you! Can now if it still happens? I've adjusted the code a little again.

Seems to be working just fine now, thanks Thomy.
I'll keep an eye on it though, just to see if it's still occuring.

I've been trying out activating MMB the past few days like you asked, and I cannot reproduce the bug. Looks like it's fixed now.
