Events / Castle Wars event
« on: October 08, 2015, 04:12:16 pm »
Hello everyone. So I was thinking... Everyone is always scrambling to find enough players to do a castle wars game so they can play a few games and get some tickets to buy some brawling gloves for double xp. Since I constantly see this scramble I thought I would make it a weekly thing to host some castle wars events. Therefore, I am going to start hosting castle wars events every Thursday at 11 a.m. (My game time is -5). Or you can simply look at the time of THIS post, subtract 12 minutes, and that is the time when the event will occur.

The official clan chat to join is simply "Cw event", join it if you have any questions about the event or are waiting for the event to start, i'll be in it 1 hour prior of the event. The length of the event I am unsure about because players seem to vanish as time goes on. It will last at least an hour, if players stay longer than that would be fantastic also. If you could post on this topic weekly saying if you will attend or not that would be helpful, just to get a rough estimate on how many players will be attending.

If word gets around about this event and we get enough players to do it today (October 8, 2015) then I will host one, if not this event will start next Thursday.
If you have any questions please post them here, pm me in-game, or ask me in the clan chat that I will be active in 1 hour prior to the event.

Resolved Bug Reports / No "Guide" when clicking on the stat icon
« on: September 29, 2015, 04:34:42 pm »
When you click on a skill it just pops up this screen instead of listing of the items and level requirements for that skill. I've re-logged and open and closed the client, still didn't fix. It's like this for all the skills.

Suggestions & Ideas / Ivy
« on: September 26, 2015, 09:21:27 am »
I'm suggesting that Ivy's are added in. For those of you who don't know Ivy's are a type of vine that grows up the wall in select locations, which I will list below later. Ivy's are used to gain woodcutting experience and were added into Runescape around 2009-2010ish, don't take my word for that however. Ivy's are not necessarily afkable, but do require less attention than cutting down trees. Ivy's can be completely chopped down which then makes you have to wait a select amount of time for it to respawn. Normally at Ivy locations you'll find 4-7 other Ivy's lined up next to it. When cutting down Ivy's you can also get crushed bird nest drops, which would be very helpful because right now you can only get them from cutting down magic trees and killing high level monsters (Ice strykewyrms, Commander Zilyana, Armadyl boss room minions, and Kree'Arra). You can increase your chance of getting crushed birds nest by wearing a "unlucky rabbits foot necklace". We could add in this necklace by simply getting a rabbits foot from hunting, and putting it in a mold, then putting it on the string. Adding Ivy's in-game would allow players to gain more xp per hour in woodcutting while cutting Ivy's opposed to either cutting magic logs or "power woodcutting" a different type of log. Of course choosing to cut Ivy's has it's advantages and disadvantages. By choosing to cut Ivy's you will gain more xp and hour, but the disadvantage would be the fact that you aren't making any money other than the occasional drop of a crushed birds nest. I don't know a good amount of xp that each Ivy should give, so I am not going to throw a number out there. However, I do think Ivy's should require 70 woodcutting. Some of the locations that would be accessible for the Ivy's would be in the following lcoations. The Falador and Castle wars location already have the Ivy growing here, you're just unable to chop it. The Varrock location does not have the Ivy growing up alongside the wall yet.

Located along the wall of the Southwest corner of Castle Wars ARENA. Seven spots in total.

Second place would be located on the North side of Varrock Palace (close to the 3 yew trees). 5 spots in total here.

Thirdly, and lastly, North side of Falador wall. This location has 8 Ivy spots.

Suggestions & Ideas / Giant Mole and Pure Ess
« on: September 24, 2015, 09:24:00 pm »
I think adding in the Giant Mole would be a nice boss to add in. It's not challenging at all, I actually hardly consider it a boss.
Obviously the drops on here would have to be changed around a lot because we don't have a lot of the items that it drops on Runescape. I've made a list of a few drops that I think it should drop, it is as follows. Some of the more "rare" items that it could drop I labeled how often it would be dropped. Otherwise the numbers just show the quantity that it could drop.

Edit: Here is a description of what the giant mole is. The giant mole should be located in Falador park by, just like it is in OSRS. You can access it by digging on the mole hills located in the park. Once inside the cave you do need a light source, so some new items would need to be added into the game for this, either a candle or bullseye lantern. I was thinking that if you had a slayer helm it would count as a light source. Once inside it is a large cave that the moll can dig around in. It is level 230 and has 200 hitpoints. Using mele would be the best to your benefit and also having a bandos set for Armour would benefit you because the moll tends to hit very often. The unique trait about the moll is is will dig away from you in the middle of a fight and then you're on the search again to go find him.
Here is a description of the Giant mole if you have never seen it or killed it. http://www.runehq.com/monster/giant-mole

Dragon Scimitar- 1 in 60 kills
Dragon Claws- 1 in 90 kills
Crystal bow- 1 in 60 kills
Yew logs- 15-45
Magic tree seed- 1-5

Mole bones (maybe these could give a larger bonus than big bones?)
Those are just suggestions remember, I understand the drops are all really decent to good drops, but don't hate on it for that.

My other suggestion would be adding Pure ess into game. Nothing more to really say about them, if you don't know what they're, read this.. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Pure_essence

Off-Topic / Would you rather game
« on: September 23, 2015, 08:54:07 pm »
Pretty self explanatory. All you have to do is respond to the previous post above you on which you would rather do. After that, make up your own "Would you rather"
I'll start it off..
Would you rather eat a fruit or vegetable?

Off-Topic / Schooling

Who here attends a University? If you attend one I'd like to know where you attend and what field of study you're in. Also, how much homework/studying do you think you have daily? For me, this pass weekend I wasn't able to even get on the computer because I spent all Saturday and Sunday doing a project. I probably spend close to 2-3 hours a day doing homework/studying.

Videos / My first Emps-World video
« on: September 16, 2015, 07:15:42 pm »

I just talk about my feelings on the current status of the game, future videos i plan on doing, and re-introduce myself to anybody who doesn't know who i am. The video quality should go up once it has time to render. If not the quality will be fixed in the next video as this is mostly just a commentary anyways.

Suggestions & Ideas / Just something small [EDITED]
« on: September 15, 2015, 03:53:53 am »
I know we have the ::forum command, but i'm suggesting that you add in a ::guides command so newcomers can easily navigate to the guides without having to go through all the topics in the forums. Just to make some peoples life easier.
Edit: I'm now suggesting that we also add in a command that says every time you log in "use the ::command to view a list of your available commands".

Videos / Who would be interested?
« on: September 11, 2015, 01:40:42 pm »
In seeing me make videos again... the player base is a lot smaller now than it used to be and the game has changed quite a bit so it wouldn't be guides (at least not for now) maybe just chat videos talking about the game/bank vids/progress etc...

Screenshots / Loot from 500 Bronze Dragon kills
« on: September 02, 2015, 02:14:47 am »
Below is a picture of the loot I got from killing 500 bronze dragons. I kept all the loot that was dropped to see how much I would make off of it by selling it to the general store, I'll update that photo later once it has been taken. Everything in my inventory was from the drops, including the cash stack. I'm happy with my drops  ;D
Update: I forgot to take a screenshot, but I made 6.5m off all the junk. I haven't sold the dragon bones yet though.

Introductions & Farewells / Hello
« on: August 27, 2015, 04:46:29 am »
Hello everyone. I don't know if you remember me but I'm Dylan. I played back in 2009-2010ish is when I first joined. I made some real good friends here, and am back to make more. A little bit about myself is that I am 20 years old and I'm attending a 4 year University. I enjoy messing around on computers, building them, and coding (to an extent). I quit Emps 2-3 years back and have been waiting for a good time to join back when I have free time. I am going to be just floating around the forums for now, and maybe in game a few times a week until I can manage my time better with all the things that being a college student brings. Further more, I've made many friends in-game before I was a staff member, and many more after I was a staff member. I'm excited to see that some of the same faces that I enjoyed messing around with a few years back are still active in game. Anyways, can't wait to meet all you guys!
