I really like this idea, I had something similar in mind for some time
However I'd like to see something like this,

for example,
if its Day of the Warrior, then you'll have to gain at least 100k xp in the 3 skills combined before u can enable it.
so its more like having to do something at some point to get rewarded later, 100k xp shouldn't be a problem to almost anyone.
the reason I didn't mention a higher number is because 100k could take up to 20 mins for new players to gain so better than going all crazy about it.

Oh god, This was the reason I quit silkroad after I spent all my money trying to get an item to +17 and failed at +16 or something

Anyway I like this idea.


Idk if I like slimshadyy Idea or no tbh, since he has a point on forcing people doing it however I might be the unluckiest person alive, don't I deserve to have one of these upgraded items  ?

Price of gwd items went down because the have not been best-in-slot for fucking ages.

Bandos and armadyl pieces were 500k-2m each in scape back when gwd didnt even exist. It was great because people used them in wilderness because of their cheap price.

Its not about the prices of items since I don't really care about this issue my self, its not a problem at all for me.
however I am against a lot of items entering the game without any leaving.
last time we tried to do something about this, we targeted the pvmers with the timer after death changes it might had a small impact on the situation however bosses are already so easy and it takes some time to get back there, that thing mainly targeted poor pvmers who are trying so hard to avoid duel arena and enjoy the game, for me ? ga all day long.

A lot of people suggested some great ideas for item sinking methods that all got rejected, we even suggested some ideas that Thomy can be part of however he refused again ( strange ideas tbh however it could've done the job anyway )

he is putting a lot of effort on adding new things which is great and I really appreciate it however he is putting the problem with the items entering without almost anything out aside everytime for almost 3 years.
the increase of our playerbase recently is something great and should help a lil bit on this case since the items will be with more people now however can't be " the only " method we have atm.

While I do understand the concern the solutions mentioned aren't removing but only delaying the issue with the whole system. As long as there is no sink for tradeable items they'll inevitably be devalued. RS3 solved this by introducing the Invention skill. Maybe we can think of something similar for new and degradeable power equipment or modifications that sinks existing items.

Also... it's not too bad if more GWD items get into the game. After all you need them for group bossing and other high level monsters. That makes more content available to lower leveled players.

Just a reminder, we have 100 players and over 500 sets in game
if you still feel like " its not too bad if more items enter " I would appreciate it if you send that to X amount of people that left because of the economy.
we've been asking for items sink for over 3 years already.

mind making this thing the next thing in game ? and actually make a topic about it to get some ideas ?


On topic, I agree it should be lowered again or at least to be made the same way Jhonson suggested ( same as nex )

I actually like this idea,
eventho I am not kind of a person who would really spend a lot of time training again as such thing might take me another year or 2
however I find it great to add some places that actually worth the time people will be spending getting this.
I am against having the ability to turn it off, once you reset your skills you're starting all over again with your bank Imo this will make it worth doing.

We worked together for like a year and half or something like this, we had a lot of fights of how things should've been done
I never really liked the way you dealt with a lot of things ing ( I won't mention any since its almost 2 years old stories that I don't feel like brining any of em back ).

Put that aside, you were a decent person.
If you could do what Tulrak suggested it would be great since you have a lot of experience ing so it won't be hard thing for you to do.
Enjoy your stay as finally I'd say part of the community.
Yet I'd still want to hear about the connection between you and Thomy that ended with you being a huge part of his game when it came back again.

Uh I can't consider my self as a person who still plays this game, however I try to login once a day/ few days for few mins to check out few things out

I try my best to convience my self to actually do something that the rest are doing, however then I'll be facing my inner ameer telling me that its not worth it.

tried to set a goal, that actually worth it however I failed so far.
any suggestions ?

I believe at some point you should reconsider gathering your data from another source.
having people that login 5 mins per day still counts as an extra number in your data, however it doesn't mean anything other than that.
I don't feel like complaining about many things around here that I believe I witnessed my self that lead to the situation we are in now
I just want to point out that these same words that you just wrote, are just a copy of your last reply on such topic in early 2018, 2017, 2016 when the decrease started to show up.
I resigned back in 2016 when our numbers dropped for the first time under 150 as its not worth it anymore, day after day the server proving me that i did the right thing back then.

You're comparing Emps world which has 60 players per day with some other random servers that has around 400 players online at peak time which I find something really wrong and bad to do.
if you're saying that we're having around 300 unique UUIDs per day, we believe that however comparing these numbers with a visual number in different server is wrong, I am sure they should have around 1000 if not more unique UUIDs per day
which leave us in a huge gap with them again.


anyway I have nothing to say about this suggestion to be honest
I am afraid that it will fail the same way you're and Ott is.
so I can't blame you for not taking an action about it, yet.
however I can blame you for acting like everything is normal when your community is failing apart, just take a look at our " 300 " players and how active they are at forums,
it could lead us to the end just faster than we are already moving towards.
however it might has a chance of us surviving again and brings back the great old days
we were unique before, hopefully we will be soon.

Such things are always great to have, however it might not be the way you mentioned it.
Like having an upgraded version of ava that is something between ava and abby cape so it won't kill the use of the cape if you're going all in offensive bonuses and you don't care about the arrows anyway ( take me as an example )

however eventho you didn't mention this, it should work the same way as katana.
Use a regular ava on it to have some extra charges.

It would be impossible to have a balance where it's both worth abusing vpn and the rewards aren't too good, because the only time abusing vpn is worth it is if the rewards are too good to not miss out on the opportunity. The problem then is that if the rewards are so good that it's worth abusing vpn to get them then it wouldn't take too long until people get a lot of those rewards and the rewards stop being so good to make it worth continuing to abuse vpn, which means that it would be a short-term solution. I'm not necessarily saying that we can't do it, but we need to keep in mind that if we do then we'll know beforehand that we'll either need to undo it after a short while or make the rewards even better.

That's why I started such topic so we can work together as a community to suggest few possible rewards such as Jp's.
Rewards that would benefit both players ( the buyer/seller ) without having a lot of impact on the economy.
