Feedback / Re: Voting shop.
« on: August 10, 2018, 07:15:31 am »
Few ideas:

These items would be added as their own thing because if these were obtainable through voting boxes they wouldn't fit that good imho. All the current rare gilded items would be obtainable from these as a very rare reward.
  • Double XP scrolls for specific skill - You would get a random scroll assigned to a certain skill (i.e Thieving XP scroll) and this would last for 1 hour.
  • Double Minigame Token - This token would be a consumable item. You carry these with you and consume one whenever you win or lose a round of PC/Emps-Wars granting you double tokens.
  • Permanent auras - These would have to be very expensive. These auras would be called superior. (i.e Superior vampyrism)
  • Skilling & combat packs - These would contain items what their names suggest. Also a rare chance to obtain XP lamp.
  • Teleport packs - Also what the name suggest, would contain random teleport tabs.
  • Blood money modifier - Not so sure about this but possibly some consumable item that grants you 1.5x or 2x blood money on next kill/next X kills.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: PvP
« on: August 06, 2018, 06:21:56 pm »
I am not a pker my self, however
I don't mind having xp lock ing as its been asked by a lot of players ( and it won't hurt whoever don't want to use it ) however at the same time it might kill or reduce the use of lamps.

Yes, XP locking opens up so many possibilities to create new type of accounts.
As for lamps, you could make lamps a requirement to lock a combat skill e.g. 50 lamps for 1 skill. The amount of lamps required could be doubled everytime you want to lock an additional skill.

no idea about pvp mode / settings as it might give advantage to people who has their account made this way over people who already playing
unless its a settings you can turn it off/on then its a no from.

Let me explain you the pvp mode abit differently.

At the moment, the only way to switch your tabs (inventory, prayers, etc.) is using F keys. They are fixed and can not be changed.
Since not everyone likes to use the fixed F keys, the next better thing would be to customize your F keys e.g. F1 should be your inventory.
The PvP mode however would allow you to bind your tabs to any key you want e.g. inventory to the key "A".
This way you can set the tabs you need to any key you like or/and are used to from playing other games e.g. league of legends where you use the keys QWER alot.
The only problem is that the letter keys are used to chat.
The PvP mode will turn off your chatting abilities temporary, so you can use the keys to perform actions instead. You can toggle pvp mode on/off by setting it to a key of your choice as well e.g. F1.
Since you got way more keys to use now (pvp mode on), you can add additional features that this game does not have yet.

Some examples are:
- setting arrow keys to WASD
- quick cast any spell e.g. vengeance could be cast with the key "V". You would not need to open your magic spellbook anymore.
- toggle special attack on/off
- toggle quick prayers on/off
- setting specific prayers to a key of your choice
- and much more.

This way, you allow every player to customize their pvp settings individually. Of course, there will be players who benefit more from it than others. But you give every player the same options to choose from. Whether they do it or not is up to them and using the pvp mode better than others is just another reflection of skill.

You could also call this feature "action mode" because now that I think of it, every player can benefit from it.

I DO BELIEVE that something should be done about Economy, I've said it before around a million times and I'll keep saying it.
a lot of people left because their hours spent pvming worth NOTHING to them.
that's how their brain is working and we are talking here about number of people who left because of this that is around 5 times bigger than the current online players.
Something should be done about this.

This is also one of my biggest reasons why world has no chance to grow anymore. OSES was one way out of it. I do not think there is another way.
Adding more item sinks or items with charges would make the game only harder for newcomers.

Feedback / Re: Glacors.
« on: July 31, 2018, 03:40:09 pm »
To be fair, I don't think the Glacors need a combat nerf. They're fine late game content monsters. Although, it isn't rewarding enough to kill them.

Glacors could be given a weakness against fire and blood spells? Small accuracy/strength boost when hitting them with fire/blood spells.
This is a great idea. Will this boost also include elemental fire damage? I personally think it should since it's mostly killed by rangers.

Drop table really is trash, its waste of time and supplies to kill them for money-making.

Also killing minions instead leaving them alive is still faster since they have lower defence than glacor itself.
The droptable could be updated with some more useful skilling supplies (maybe instead of the herbs).

It is indeed easier to kill the minions first. It also lowers damage taken, because it makes switching easier imo.

I fully agree with Mitch on this,
Instead of nerfing it, why not updating its drop table with something useful.

Glacors could be given a weakness against fire and blood spells? Small accuracy/strength boost when hitting them with fire/blood spells.
This would give fire spells a niche use at Glacors which is a better option than straight up nerfing them imho. As for the drop table itself I'm not going to say anything because never killed one.

I think the majority of people in this thread forget that this is a game :LUL: nobody cares what you did as an admin, if I made a similar list it would probably be ten times as long, and if martin made one it would be fifty times longer :kappa:

Honestly too many things are wrong to say anything without being hypocritical to something else.

When you don't have 400 players online like we used to be, you can't be very strict about everything, these things go in parallel. In fact, at any given moment, the punishments have never been as strict and enforced as you'd like them to be, the only strict person was George, who made a big deal out of everything which caused conflicts with everyone and everything. Even so, that doesn't mean everything is slipped past our minds and we don't deal with people to be punished in order to make the game as fair as possible.

You always try to change everything around you, but just remember what got you and everyone else playing, it was the way everything is, not how you see it should be. Your personal hate against me is brought out very well here, as i'm the only person whose name you mentioned in the Entire topic. FYI i never wanted you to dislike me, quite the opposite actually, i enjoyed being around you and wanted to get along with you, i even agreed to fulfill some of your demands/suggestions which i hoped would satisfy you but your personality and radical solutions made it impossible to work with you. Even if you believe and know that everything you suggested back then and now is right and best for everyone, that's not the way your going to get things changed.

Coming back to the rule enforcement, Emps was NEVER as strict as you want it to be, it may seem to you like everything was much stricter and more enforced, but just know that if you have 400 players online, it's much more likely that people will break more rules and do more RWT and get caught doing it. Due to high amount of rule breaks, a lot of cases stood out and it seemed like everything was under control, while in reality the same % of people get away with their against the rules activities that did throughout the whole game's existence.

You keep coming back to staff as one of the reasons why Emps has gone downhill, it's just not possible that someone would choose a game based on their staff team? You dare to say that Ameer, Ralphe, Zudikas and so on would play the game like they did 5 years ago if things were the way you want them to be? They're over this game, they will never play it like they did again. I mean i get it if mods and admins were rude and very unhelpful etc, then that would make someone leave, but that is not what we have.

Everyone has broken rules in this thread, i'm just shaking my head and wondering why is everyone so damn hypocritical? Who are you/we to judge whose mistakes have been bigger? Or should we judge each other at all and call out shit what everyone has done?

In the end it's opinion against opinion, you can't really prove that anything you suggest would bring a better change is correct or truthful, you're just assuming things based on where you see flaws.
