Suggestions & Ideas / Clue scrolls & bank space
« on: November 29, 2016, 03:54:28 pm »
With the introduction of clue scrolls, the bank space we have seems to be lacking.

To elaborate; we have a maximum of 900 bank spaces, if you're a main that PvMs it's easy to fill at least half that space with supplies and PvMing gear. If you're a skiller, 1-3 tabs should be occupied by skilling materials. If you enjoy collecting cosmetic items you'll most likely have 2-3 tabs full of them. Another tab can be filled by the cosmetic items from shops alone. You could easily fill all those 900 bank spaces before clue scrolls, even if you didn't keep junk around.

That's not even mentioning all the bloody skillcapes/combicapes/200mcapes we have.

With the introduction of clue scrolls however, some junk items are necessary to complete certain steps, items like green d'hide and mithril sets suddenly are something you should keep in your bank if you wanna get through these clues as fast as possible. I don't know the list of required items, but it could easily occupy a single tab.

Clue scrolls also introduced a lot of new items. There are 163 new items from clue scroll rewards, not counting the clue scrolls themselves, we simply don't have the space to collect these however. It's also incredibly inconvenient to constantly transfer around items. We have 900 bank spaces, but we need more.

First up, adding more bank space is an easy solution, having more tabs locked behind membership isn't too terrible. We could use another 3-5 tabs. Though this may be difficult to do, so I'm gonna list potential other solutions as well.
  • Storing potions per single dose and being able to take them out however you want (saves 30 or more bank slots on anyone PvMing)
  • Removing minigame currencies as an item and adding them to the account itself (saves a few bank slots and would make minigame highscores easier to create)
  • Item sets (potentially saves 100s of bank slots)
  • Hidey holes - these are storage spaces near the locations of clue scrolls where you can store items required for the clue scroll steps completed at that location, you can only store the specific items used for the step there (taken from OSRS)
  • Special storage for cosmetic items - The costume room in the player owned house is a good example of this, we could have one in banks until construction is out
  • Cosmetic override - being able to add/remove cosmetic items to your character and selecting which ones are displayed (rs3 has this, wouldn't work in wilderness)
If anyone has other ideas I'd like to hear them.

Update Notes / Re: Updates November 28th 2016 - Clue Scrolls

Emps world= osrs confirmed?.....
Aand there's always this kind of reply on every update topic. What's so bad about putting in the same content from Runescape (which, surprise surprise, the game this server is built from) that people enjoy doing? It's like complaining about someone building a swing on their backyard for their kids because they saw their neighbor do it. Shut the hell up.

General Discussion / Clue scroll droptables
« on: November 23, 2016, 05:54:38 pm »
Hey guys,

The clue scroll update is pretty much done. Before I release it though, I'd like to have some feedback on the droptables. You can find them here:The drops aren't final and I'm open for suggestions! I couldn't think of any more drops, but maybe you got something in mind? Also, how do you like the new droptable format? :)

All the best,
Thomy

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: pvp armours
« on: November 12, 2016, 09:26:16 pm »
Remove ancient energy from the game

> make pvp sets repairable with money instead of energy
> make it so if you kill someone in wilderness wearing full zuriels per say, you get good amount of coins
> If you die outside of wilderness with your pvp set  > dont know dont care

+ pvp sets require money to be repaired, instead of energy that we have way too much
+ actually good rewards in wilderness once you kill someone in 200m pvp set, not 2m worth of useless energy
+ another reason for ironmen to spend cash

- idk, but yall gonna let me know

I think that pvp armors need a bigger overhaul in general, but since I can always buy javs and chuck them at noobs effortlessly myself I dont really care.
My biggest issue so far is getting basically nothing in reward, for killing someone in high risk.

You can even go in depth about those fucking cancer armours about smallest changes for hours, like how making them more expensive to sustain will make them less desireable.

TLDR IF I HAVE TO FIGHT AGAINST THOSE SETS IN WILDERNESS, AND MY ONLY REWARD WILL BE 2M IN USELESS ENERGY I FEEL LIKE I WOULDNT WANT THEM IN THE GAME AT ALL

edit this was more about pking issue that we can fix rather easily, by all means leave energy ingame to fix sets but change the loot in wilderness to something else

Nice work on both of them. But I think I prefer the first one because the font is much easier for the eye to read.

Looks dank
I like the first one because it's simpler but the second one on the other hand has more effects.
Difficult to say which looks better, I think I'll have to go with the second one.
