Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Thieving overhaul

None of these seem to make thieving exciting (apart from maybe the minigame)

they just add extra steps to the thieving process.

Because the entire donation system is set up that way?

Having one item which lets you be generous to other users isn't a bad thing.
Like I said in the post, some users would like an item like this.

Some users also would like Thomy to not engage too soon with Shyvana.

But to get back to the point, it seems decent if the value of the rewards were a bit higher.

If you randomly got gifted one of these, say a high level one and got tons of rune ore -- would you be mad?
Hell even if you got a low level one and got a bunch of coal I'm sure you wouldn't mind.

In the end, the person purchasing this should expect nothing in return.
As for those getting gifts, I don't really think people will be complaining at getting free stuff.
Be it resources for them to sell / use in training up or a nice cosmetic / rare find.

Well yeah, I wouldn't complain about getting a free euro irl, but it's also not something I would really appreciate. The chance of good rewards need to be upped.

I think there should be a guaranteed donator rare of 575 or lower DP with every bomb. That way it's still worth something, having 99% skilling supplies is nothing

Sounds like league (For the ones that don't know. You can pay 300-400 rp for a mystery skin or 590 for a mystery skin with a value that is at least 975 rp which is a decent system as far as league goes :P)

Alrito, an issue with this is that this seems too bad if you don't get the 0.01% box and too good if you do. There is no middle ground. Either everyone gets jack all or they get too much out of it.

This has to be for profit...why?

There's easy solutions to that issue which could be put into place.

- Both worlds are in the scope of the gift bomb.
- Gift bomb doesn't work in world unless X amount of players are online.
- If there are less than X amount of players in world, do not bomb members of friends list.

Also, the most common drop would be the low tier present which gives low level supplies out.
So for 500 if you done this, you would essentially be paying real money to try and make profit from bad chances...
Even if people did do this, and tried to exploit this, that would be a lot of money they'd be donating to try and exploit the chances.

Sounds like what I mentioned. The chances are way too low

General Discussion / Re: players representatives ?

The fact you closed the topic after an argument that we were unable to reply to, would not be a very friendly move either. I don't really appreciate that once you start losing a discussion or no longer want to deal with it, you just close it up.

Which is literally what a lot of staff members do/did, they get their say in and then lock the topic. But when a player does it it 'isn't a friendly move'

u wot merel

Staffs are the community's reps, that's how it's supposed to be at least..

New staff members get chosen by the staff, a player representative is supposed to add more input.

If there are 10 staff members nothing changes. They might gain a nice title of 'we r represent' but the amount of input stays at 10 when it should be 13.

That said, I think the player representatives would just be another step in the chain of being able to talk to the ones that really matter. I think a weekly AMA from let's say thomy, martin or whoever else you'd like to talk to to deal with things, would work out just fine. A topic where every player if he really wants to, can leave a message to thomy, and thomy can choose if he wants to deal with it or not. It's a common concept amongst mayors and other leaders of civilizations to have a open consult one day each week for example, to talk to his 'citizens', no matter how small or stupid the issue is.

Then we can ask why he engaged 70 seconds too soon with Shyvana!

FeelsBadMan.

Jokes aside, I can't promise updates on a scheduled cycle as a single person. Emps is already a pretty big game with plenty of things to do. I try my best to roll in at least one update a week and so far I haven't missed that goal often.

I hope you do understand, that I can't just hold a casting for new developers and expect them to deliver quality game content within their first week? Emps has grown big and so has its code. It's not a project you'll immediately understand and be able to work with. Besides...  who trusts random people on the Internet? It's not easy to find people developing good content. To be totally honest, I'm also not looking for any, because imho it brings more complications than benefits in the current situation. Besides... you know what hiring a programmer costs!? Maybe things change when our community grows even bigger. We're already on a pretty good way, steady player increases every week this summer! :)

As a single person maintaining an entire infrastructure by yourself isn't easy, I believe you're on the right track and direction for growth, keep strong m8.

I really wish i could develop :(

pls no

Is ThomThom literally doing everything on his own? What about Jon/Graham and you?
You're all busy I guess?

Too busy with soulsplit yah?

I just checked and none of those updates added what I would consider 'new content/content that stays long' they're all just bugfixes which while needed do prove his point a bit.
Then again I'm only on the forums so I don't really care.

Misunderstanding, seems we agree on this point

Games / Re: [LoL] Diana, the only champion you need to learn.

Diana is op af anyway even on mid lane. Her level 6 is stupid and I don't know too many champions that do well against her aside from swain.
