General Discussion / A staking bug
« on: October 12, 2017, 06:53:06 am »
There's currently a bug that can be abused in the duel arena. Stake at your own risk. You'll probably not get your items back if someone uses it against you.

They're not supposed to use chatlogs to fish for mutes. Unmonitored chats are great if you're a rulebreaker. The problem with the current system is that people don't bother reporting others and then complain that the staff team never does their job.
edit: it's not completely our responsibility to watch over everyone like little children, that's what we have players moderators and administrators for.
You're right. However given the way policy is right now if you want proper enforcement of the rules against offensive language you're going to have to make reports. Eventually people either learn that they shouldn't be doing what they're doing or they get outright removed for breaking the rules too often. Reporting people speeds up that process, which is good.

I've seen people ask what to buy with their slayer points, made a flowchart to provide an instant answer.

Guides / Re: GWD bosses guide. (no nex) by RanyD
« on: October 09, 2017, 05:43:00 pm »
You've been making these guides to try and get into the wiki team. You should be writing things yourself rather than copy/pasting what's on the wiki and replacing a few words or writing exactly the same thing. That doesn't show me that you can write well enough for me to not have to fix all the edits you make on the wiki.

I will show you in this guide how easily you can defeat God Wars dungeon bosses (without nex).

There are 2 ways where you can travel to the GWD, first one is by teleporting to trollheim and navigate down the mountian. And the second one is by using the ferocious ring which teleports you directly to the entrance of the dungeon.

Recommended inventory:
  • 2 Zamorak brews.
  • 3-4 Super restores/ Prayer potions.
  • 21 Manta rays/ Sharks
Recommended inventory:
  • 2 Super Magic Potions
  • 8 Saradomin Brews
  • 4 Super Restore (4)
  • 12-14 Manta rays
Recommended inventory:
  • 2 Super Magic Potion.
  • 8 Saradomin Brew.
  • 4 Super Restore (4)
  • 12-14 Manta Rays.
Reccomended inventory:
  • 2 Super Ranging.
  • 2 Super Antipoison
  • 4 Super Restore
  • 2 Saradomin Brew

This is what you wrote yourself, I'll get to that first.
I will show you in this guide how easily you can defeat God Wars dungeon bosses (without nex).
Multiple mistakes in sentence structure. A more correct way to write this would be:
"In this guide I will show you how to easily defeat any GWD boss excluding Nex."

2 Zamorak brews.
Nobody in their right mind would use just zbrews to boost their melee stats. The accuracy loss would be huge. This is common knowledge, why did you get this wrong?

Antipoison Purge.
The aura is called "poison purge" and doesn't sit in your inventory. You have to wear it in order for it to work.

The rest fill with food.
Fill the rest of your inventory with food.

Your guide's text is big for no apparent reason, if you make everything bigger it doesn't have much of an effect. You also used a size increase on literally every line, there's no reason to do that. You did kind of a sloppy job at your table, though generally you could use a ton more pictures. There are a ton of unnecessary capital letters. Your guide misses any kind of information as to what combat style and gear to use at which boss and why, the potions are the only indicator of what style to use. You're missing a ton of information. If I judge you by what you've written here you would be deemed unfit to edit the wiki.

K'ril Tsutsaroth (Zamorak boss):
K'ril Tsutsaroth is one of the five bosses that can be found inside of the GWD. He is located in the northeast corner of the dungeon in his fortress. In order to enter his fortress you need to jump over the ice bridge leading to it. In order to enter the boss chamber you have to kill 10 of his zamorak minions that can be found around the dungeon or in his fortress, otherwise you will not be able to open the door leading to his chamber. The zamorak minions will be aggresive to any player who doesn't wear an zamorak item, such as zamorak godsword, zamorak arrow or zamorakian spear. If the zamorak boss kills you, your items will spawn outside the chamber rather than the spot where you orignally died. Players can choose to fight him as an instance by right-clicking the chambers' door before entering. That way other players can only join if they enter the same instance as the one you created.
Quote from: The wiki https://emps-world.net/wiki/K%27ril_Tsutsaroth
K'ril Tsutsaroth is one of the five bosses found inside of the God Wars dungeon. He resides within the zamorak fortress, located in the northeast corner of the dungeon. Players who wish to enter the fortress will have to jump across the ice bridge leading to it. The dungeon itself can be accessed by using the Trollheim teleport and navigating down the mountain torwards Trollheim's northern exit. Additionally, players can directly teleport to the entrance by using a ferocious ring or a GWD tablet. (copied this part earlier on in the guide)

In order to enter K'ril Tsutsaroth's chamber, players will have to kill a total of 10 zamorak minions scattered throughout the dungeon or in the zamorak fortress. Zamorak minions will be aggressive towards the player if they are not wearing any zamorak items. The door to the chamber will only open and allow the player who has the required killcount to pass through, therefore all members of a team must have the required amount of kills in order to enter. If any player dies while in K'ril's chamber, then their items will spawn on the floor outside of the chamber's entrance rather than inside where they originally died.

Players can choose to fight any of the God Wars dungeon bosses as an instance by right-clicking on the door to the boss chamber and creating one before entering. In an instance, other players can only join if they know the name of the instance originally created.
Honestly I've already spent enough time on this. Any underlined parts of the wiki you've clearly either copied or written over. I'm not even going to get into the spelling mistakes you've made writing these parts. The other parts are exactly like this, copied and containing mistakes.

I'm sorry, but you're not going to get a wiki account like this.

Feedback / Glacors
« on: October 09, 2017, 07:27:51 am »
Thank you for adding more stuff to PvM that actually requires you to use your head. In terms of mechanics glacors are quite well done. There are some issues they have however, which I'd like to adress in this topic.

It takes quite a long time to get to them, the entrance to their cave could be moved to shorten the distance. Or we could get a teleport to mudskipper point. It'd make them a lot more convenient to get to.

I personally don't really like that they're aggressive, but this isn't too much of a problem.

For a monster that requires your full attention, requires you to sidestep, you'll need to pray switch to kill and has more hp than most bosses its drop table is disappointing. Their numbers could definitely use some buffs if you want people to actually make them worth killing for their common drops alone. That is something you should go for on a monster with relatively difficult mechanics.

Also why do they drop bones? They're literally made of ice.

I think they should get a different slayer exp multiplier. They have more hp than kbd, gwd bosses, kq, sdc and chaos ele and more difficult mechanics than them. They require far more effort to kill, 5k a pop is a bit mediocre. Since they are available in larger numbers I don't think they should get the exact same multiplier as bosses, maybe one in between bosses and regular monsters. Perhaps this multiplier can be given to tormented demons as well, that would make them good slayer exp.

I also hope you plan on using the bane ore in the cave. There's a huge demand for bolts at the moment, bane bolts would be very useful.

Don't think they should. Wouldn't improve anything really. I kind of like not having 7 green hatchlings.

Do agree brutals are terrible though. They've been on the cancel list forever. Perhaps moving hcb from the slayer shop to their droptable might be interesting? I don't think that drop changes would do much for me, I'd rather see them give better slayer exp.

When people don't understand that ironmen aren't and shouldn't be treated any differently in the wilderness than regular players.

Glacors - Steadfast, Glaiven and Ragefire Gloves.
Glacors can now be found in the Asgarnian dungeon (wyverns cave). They require level 92 Slayer to kill and drop new tier 80 equipment: Steadfast, Glaiven and Ragefire gloves, which have the best offensive bonuses in the game. Below's a picture of me fighting a Glacor with its companions:

Culinaromancer gloves have received slight adjustments (leather, bronze, ... dragon, barrow) with this patch too. These gloves are supposed to be used with all combat styles and their defensive bonuses have been adjusted accordingly. I've also identified that gloves are giving much more strength bonus compared to their boots counter parts. Thus, I've increased the strength bonus of following items:
  • Leather - mithril boots: +1 strength
  • Adamant boots: +2 strength
  • Rune boots: +3 strength (up from 2)
  • Dragon boots: +4 strength (up from 2)
  • Bandos, armadyl and battle robe boots: +5 strength (up from 3)
I'd rather have seen you even out str between boots and gloves but this shouldn't be too bad.

Dropping items now resets your current skilling action.
Rest in peace powertraining, you will be missed.

Guardian angel tickets and double xp scrolls can now be bought on ironman accounts from the Grand Exchange.
Easymanmode confirmed at this point.

Not flaming would be a decent idea. You won't be able to do much of anything if everyone's constantly trying to verbally bash eachother's skull in.

Feedback / Re: Feedback regarding a bug report and how it was dealt with
« on: October 05, 2017, 03:13:54 pm »
I do understand that it is very convenient, but it gives too many opportunities for abuses.
It does not create any more opportunities than there already were. The difference between holding ctrl and left clicking and right clicking and left clicking is virtually nonexistent for autoclickers. Autoclickers are against the rules anyways, and they wouldn't really feel a difference due to this change.

You'll still be able to power train in about the same amount of time, but you have to plan dropping items more carefully. You can still drop an item and click on the skilling resource quickly after and lose no tick.
If you interrupt an action you'll lose time. You'll basically have to predict when you get a resource and then drop it immediately and click on what you're gathering from to not lose ticks. This is humanly possible, but will be far from convenient or consistent.

You gave us a wonderful feature that made powertraining a method people would actually consider doing and now you're taking it away, please reconsider.

you can always use ghose mouse to record your mouse dropping stuff and change it to high speed, which result on dropping the whole inv in less than 3 seconds.
This is against the rules.

Wanted to point a few things out.

Thanks. I'll let dropping items cancel skilling actions with the next update.
  • Dropping items while skilling not interrupting skilling is not a bug. Ctrl + click drop is not a bug. These are both intended.
  • What can be abused here requires an autoclicker, which is against the rules and easy to detect.
  • It makes powertraining involving dropping less convenient for anyone playing the game legitimately. Hell it removes most uses of the ctrl drop feature.
  • This doesn't prevent anyone from actually autoclicking mining or any skill really. The "problem" doesn't get touched by this at all.
  • Powertraining is made a far more inconvenient option than it was before the ctrl drop update.
