Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Greater Hellhound (Boss)
« on: December 24, 2016, 01:16:41 pm »
Droplist needs adjustment. Also Dragon pickaxe doesn't belong there.

As far as your Fiery Gatherer is concerned, I'd rather stick with the original Inferno Adze and Imcando pickaxe and their effects. We could also slightly boost woodcutting and mining xp on them (5-10%).
Mining and woodcutting are both quite fast already (especially woodcutting), so making it even faster doesn't make sense, unless something new and very specific (new type of ore/tree) is introduced.
Why would you add fishing though? O_o

While I like the idea of having those 2 tools, but I don't think we should add them via PvM. This stone, which allows you to turn the hatchet into Inferno Adze and pickaxe to Imcando pickaxe, should be available at Evil Tree minigame (Distractions and diverrsions). That idea has always had a lot of popularity and this reward would suit it very well. Also, since it has charges, it would keep the minigame viable, which is also great.

Sorry for slightly getting off track, since it's about the monster not the drops, but I just don't think a monster should drop these.
I wouldn't mind the monster, however he seems pretty bland. Introduce some new mechanics atleast. Otherwise it's up to the drop, if it becomes dead content or not.

E: Forgot to mention that we don't have weaknesses to specific style in Emps.

General Discussion / Re: Guthix page ???
« on: December 22, 2016, 01:08:10 pm »
There are 4 magic books. 3 of them are considered god books: Unholy book (Zamorak), Book of Balance (Guthix), Holy Book (Saradomin).

If you collect all 4 pages (from 1 to 4), you can upgrade the book belonging to that certain god. This directly doubles the stats on books, however it makes them untradable.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Metal Dragons - Adamant and Rune drags
« on: December 19, 2016, 06:07:17 am »
How would they differ from the current metal dragons? What makes them sound fun, if they have the same mechanics?
What would they be dropping?

How would you add them without making them dead content on day 1?

General Discussion / Re: black christmas cracker
« on: December 10, 2016, 05:49:56 pm »
Il Pk I, that's not how it's supposed to work :D

You can get Dark Christmas crackers by completing deliveries for Jack Frost (bring him Santa's delivery notes and you'll have to deliver a Dark present and return to Jack Frost).

Help me! / Re: Anger
« on: December 08, 2016, 08:03:26 pm »
Basically there are 2 kind of Anger weapons:
  • Strength-based (battleaxe, mace): Higher damage against large monsters
  • Attack-based (spear, sword): Higher accuracy against large monsters
I personally haven't used the attack-based weapons in a while, since the last time I tested them, they weren't as good as the other ones. Strength-based weapons are used constantly though.

Within the group there's no difference in stats/strength etc, just the looks.

Guides / Clue scroll npc locations
« on: December 04, 2016, 11:52:10 pm »
Since I'm constantly asked about the locations of all Clue scroll npcs, I decided to post a list of all the npcs (the ones I recalled when making this).

Bear in mind this is not a guide, just a list of people in their locations (I can also describe their locations in more detail if needed).
I encourage our fellow contributors to actually make a guide based on this list.

Feedback / Re: Scan clues
« on: December 03, 2016, 04:45:40 pm »
Scan clues are only problematic in wilderness. The city ones etc are actually quite enjoyable.

Reporter007, the map wouldn't help, since there are way too many spots

Boohoo there's a single type of step in clues that actually require some effort to complete.
Even with methodical roaming, it's completely based on dumb luck. There's a fine line between effort and waste of time caused by the unefficient scan mechanic.
From a design standpoint, I feel that with every step of a clue scroll you should know if you're making progress or not.
Agreed!

The bug occurs when you have an active slayer task. Just complete it and you should be fine.

Bug will be fixed with the next update.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Clue scrolls & bank space
« on: November 29, 2016, 09:00:55 pm »
Easiest way to expand it would be creating a second bank account. It's done in real life, so why not in Emps. Easy 900 new bank slots.
Multilogging and transferring every time you want to use one of those cosmetics or wish to store one is inconvenient.
You misunderstood me.

What I meant was that it's all done in the same account. However you have 2 banks (reference to irl bank accounts).
Basically when you interact with bankers or use counters/deposit boxes etc, you can access both bank1 and bank2.
