Chapter I: Introduction and Requirements
Hello, welcome to my guide on how to efficiently kill the God of war Bandos' most reliable Ourg known as General Graardor! In this guide I will show you different gear setups, the route and location, talk about how the killcount system works, great fighting tactics and ofcourse his amazing drops!
Many players kill him in groups or solo kills in attempt to gain one of his great armor possessions or his legendary Bandos hilt. He's mostly killed in groups or people can solo him pretty easily.
I recommend having the following stats:
80+ Attack
80+ Strength
80+ Defence
80+ Hitpoints
70+ Prayer
61+ Magic (For trollheim Teleport)
Chapter II: Gear and Inventory setups
There are many alternate setups, I will explain some of them which can be used for different cases.
Verac's armor and Inventory setup
Verac's is by far the best that I've tried while killing General Graardor, it can easily hit pretty high and has much more better ranged defence bonus then full Bandos. Combining Verac with a few other items makes it a great setup, since you'll be blocking all of Graardors melee attacks with protect from melee, you'll be wanting to defend against his Ranged attack, which can hit up to 46. Ofcourse you can guys can change this up a bit, I know not everyone has Max cape, if you got a Strength (T) that'll be even better. Make sure you use Bandos boots instead of dragon boots so that Bandos followers won't be aggressive to you when you're getting killcount.
The Inventory is pretty straight forward, special attack weapon is up to you, personally I use a Dragon Halberd just because it can hit pretty high on him and it's a double attack with 3 specials. A Saradomin Godsword is also very good here if you got the money for it because it's special attack can heal your hp and prayer depending on how high you hit, although it is not advised to use that special on the boss himself because it rarely hits, instead use it on one of the minions for an alternate healing strategy. BGS is also good since it lowers defence but it's inaccurate. Hammer is just so you can get into the Bandos Chamber, if you ever forget it there's a spawn to the side of the Bandos door.
If going as a group it's advised to bring another potion set and full Guthans. Full Guthans is great to heal on the 3 minions after the boss is dead so that you'll waste little food because they can hit up to 22, they also drop food which should keep you topped off when the boss respawns.
Bandos Gear and Inventory setup
Personally Bandos is a great setup in General Graardor masses (5 or more people) as it can hit very high but also can be inaccurate compared to Verac. Ofcourse, you can change a few things like the cape and the amulet, you can go with a whip and DFS if you cannot afford Zamorakian Spear. (Note: Ignore the invisible BCP and ZS, I was re-downloading the cache and they weren't loaded up yet
)
The inventory setup is basically the same nothing should be changed except your preferred special weapon, if you wish to go solo killing with this setup, you don't necessary need to bring guthans unless you're going with more people.
Chapter III: Route and Location
General Graardor, can be found in God Wars dungeon, in the Bandos encampment to the west of the dungeon. You need 60 Strength and a hammer to be able to enter the encampment. Once you're ready you can teleport using the Trollheim teleport in your normal spellbook which requires a magic level of 61. Use the shortcuts to get there faster if you can, watch out for troll spectators and throwers, if you are a low level they can easily hit you. Follow the path in the map below to reach the God Wars.
Be aware once you enter the Godwars dungeon monsters from other Gods will attack you if they aren't already attacking other minions, run immediately to the west of the dungeon until you get to the Bandos door, you will need to use a hammer and bang on the door to gain access to the encampment.
Chapter IV: Fighting Tactics
First off, in order to enter his Chamber you must kill a total of 20 random Bandos followers, the easiest to get killcount on is the level 48 hobgoblins, shouldn't take you long. Before entering the chamber pot up using your Zamorak brew first (Or Super strength if you want) pray protect from melee and piety Melee. Unload your special attacks (depending on what special weapon you're using) and attack him with your main weapon. Don't underestimate the 3 minions, each has a different attack style being Range, mage and melee which can hit up to 22. Graardors Ranged attack occurs when he punches the ground and gives off like a small wave of energy which can hurt alot. keep your hitpoints above 60 if possible. When he dies collect your loot and begin attacking the minions, kill the ranger first, then the mager then the meleer. They respawn pretty fast and you most likely won't kill all 3 before Graardor respawns but they do drop mantas sometimes which is good. I don't choose to bring P pots because there's an alter there which heals your prayer back up to full instantly, but has a 5 minute cooldown (Unless you can relog)
If you're low prayer then you may bring p pots.
Chapter V: Drops
Below is the possible drops which General Graardor may give. His rarest of items is the Bandos armor and the Bandos hilt.
