Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Hunger Games

Giving cash prizes for a minigame is not right, instead we can give tokens based on how long you lasted and then you can buy items such as imbued fremennik rings, imbued ring of wealth, ess pouches and rune pouches.
In osrs lms actually works as a cash sink. 25 players all having to pay 100k entry fee, total of 2,5m. 1st prize is 1,5m, 2nd 500k and 3rd, 4th and 5th get free entry for their next game.

I think this is a better solution.
My suggestion would be that you could start the game when 8 players entered the game with a maximum of 16 players. I would as well disable the mini map, otherwise I would be too easy to find other players. And a canon shot each time a player is killed, would be something extremely cool  :P

less people would be playing if there is a fee. Some people may even return just for this mini game if you do not need a fee and you cant use your personal equipment
I don't there's a point in bringing a single item from your bank, it's a hunger games mini game so the main point is to gather items from chests.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Staking fee (dumpbox idea)
« on: July 31, 2016, 06:07:23 pm »
I'm still gonna repeat this: why would you care if spirit shield crash because they are nearly useless?

If you dont wanna stakers investing in PvM gear, why not suggest adding more old schools?
I agree with the fact that all of the items should have a use in game, but why are you so against demoting staking to a certain point, if it wasn't for staking we wouldn't have lost tens of players, and the economy would have been much better, because even if it is as you say about the items being useless, a ton of players think that bandos+arcane+ etc are the best gear, and the most fancy ones. a for me I do prefer void, not because I knew bandos was that useless, but because I always liked void.
I find it pretty cool to lose stakers, so we don't see people get demotivated so easily when they see a bank of 100b made by no effort, while they still have 100m bank which they worked their arses for it

If there wasn't any stakers hoarding the items, they all would be in the market, which would actually mean they would be even cheaper.
not necessarily, because most stakers actually prefer cash, don't you think that they try their best to sell their valuable items even if it crashes the price?

I agree with the minigame skill and how it affects gaining tickets, Idc for castle wars, but preventing low level players wouldn't do any good you know.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: skills to bills

There's a lot more, main ones being:
  • fishing mantas (also small amount of caskets and snape grass)
  • cooking mantas
  • mining coal
  • smithing rune bars (superheating advised)
  • woodcutting magics (and small amount of c nests)
  • farming herbs
  • thieving (herb seeds)

You can make money via other ways as well, but they may not be as fast:
  • runecrafting (runes don't sell that well since we have Rod and Z staff + rune saving staves)
  • herblore (potions don't sell that well since we don't have many PvMers currently)
  • fletching + magic (bolts: they don't sell that well anymore, you may have to wait a long time to sell all of them)
  • hunter + magic (alching black salamanders gives you a ton of cash, not the fastest method though)
  • smithing (dart tips, arrow tips, unf bolts - sometimes bought for high prices to complete daily tasks)
  • Crafting bow strings/collecting flax (this has ups and downs, so it's not the most stable way to make cash)

There are plenty of ways to make money, all of which are not listed above. So it's not as bad as you might think.
I do agree with the point that materials should have a stable market, but unfortunately they don't for various reasons (low activity, many ironmen, many high-level accounts etc). I do not agree with you on adding many requirements. If they were to be added, they should make sense
I agree with your disagreements, actually the reason why I said add A boss, was because that's all I could come up with, I wouldn't suggest many requirements that don't make any sense, but merely in a non-direct way asking for suggestions that could balance both low and high requirements.
.e.g
that boss drops a certain weapon, or shield, and that shield needs stuff you get from a various of skills
